Our Purpose

I (Lucy) founded Alever Consulting because I wanted to simplify writing.

After 7 years of helping high school students get into their dream schools, I realized that brainstorming was complicated, and editing often focused on the technicalities rather than the voice of the writer.

​

I combined my background in psychology and my consulting expertise and created a simple, scientific way to brainstorm for personal statements, cover letters, and statements of purpose.

 

To make writing resources accessible, I created aLeverUp, fully-funded writing workshops at schools and community centers in areas where students may not be able to afford one-on-one consulting.

My goal for Alever is to make sure that lack of writing guidance does not prevent students, professionals, and anyone else, from achieving their personal or professional dreams and goals.
